Our final look at Steven Klein’s breathtaking series of horse images, from his catalogue over several years of studying the noble beasts. Klein plays with the contrasts of their animal strengths and the human interference of a studio set, glossy hairsprays and braiding – all that portray the animal almost like a statue, a stunning object to admire.
We thought it fitting to end the series with the rear of the horse.
Another stunning image from Steven Klein’s ongoing series of horse photography. The portrayal of the powerful animals as an object of beauty [tails braided, coats brushed and in a studio] offers a stark contrast to their traditional role as physically powerful, hardworking beasts of burden.
And more of Steven’s horsing around, this time with Madonna in tow…
The first installment in a breathtaking series of horse photography by celebrated fashion photographer Steven Klein.
